Dating back to the 1950’s, the Robaina family has had a passion for two wheeled racing. With the family’s roots starting in Uruguay, Carlos Robaina raced professionally for Yamaha.
Decades later, Rudy Robaina (his son) followed suit, racing road bicycles professionally in Europe for Abn-Amro.
Continuing family tradition, Rudy brought in “Uncle Mario,” his uncle, to the staff. Uncle Mario started out as a bike messenger in New York, to later go on and raise money towards Multiple Sclerosis. He completed the MS 150 to the keys several times. Now shifting attention to triathlons, Rudy has represented the USA World Triathlon Team in the sprint distance 2014, 2015, and was invited to the first Inaugural Draft Legal Amateur World Championships.
